IMPORTANT: THE ‘BACK TO SCHOOL CONTEST’ ("THE CONTEST") IS ORGANIZED BY ACE MECHANIC SERVICES. ALL ASPECTS OF THE OPERATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST, INCLUDING THESE OFFICIAL RULES, ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ACE MECHANIC SERVICES. PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES BEFORE ENTERING THE CONTEST.
BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH PARTICIPANT DECLARES THAT HE/SHE MEETS ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW AND AGREES TO BE UNCONDITIONALLY BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF ACE MECHANIC SERVICES. THE REMAINDER OF THE RULES REFER TO ACE MECHANIC SERVICES AS THE CONTEST SPONSOR. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. TO ENTER, YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT OF CANADA AND HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF MAJORITY AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To enter the Contest, you must have an Internet access, a valid email address, and you must:
(i) go to the ACE Mechanic Services website: https://www.acemecanique.com/ and provide your name, email address, province and telephone number via the BACK TO SCHOOL contest link.
You will also be asked to confirm that you agree to the Official Rules. No other method of entry will be accepted. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on August 20th, 2024 at 00:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends on September 3rd, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EST (the "Contest Closing") (collectively, the "Contest Period"), after which no further entries will be accepted.
ADMISSIBILITY
The Contest is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority on or before August 20th, 2024, and who are employees, contractors, agents or representatives of the Contest Sponsor or its parent companies, subsidiaries, agencies, distribution companies, price suppliers, if any, or any person domiciled with any of these persons.
PRIZE
There are four prizes available to be won, consisting of four prepaid credit card of 250$ each. One prize per winner for a total of four winners. Odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the contest period.
PRIZE-GIVING
Four entries will be randomly selected by the Contest Sponsor at 9:00 a.m. EST on September 4, 2024, at 1010 Léo-Fournier Street, Val-d'Or, Quebec J9P 6X8, from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Entries will be stored in the Contest Sponsor's online database (the "Contest Database") and will be randomly drawn in accordance with these Official Rules (The Contest and the site on which the Contest Sponsor posts these Official Rules are collectively referred to as the "Contest").
The selected entrants will be notified by a representative of the Contest Sponsor by email within two (2) days of the closing of the Contest. The entrants will then be required to respond to the Contest Sponsor by email to claim his/her prize. If the entrant has not responded within three (3) days, an alternate entrant may, at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor, be selected by random drawing, in which case such entrant will become the selected entrant and the previously selected entrant will then be disqualified and will not be entitled to any prize.
The prize will be awarded within 10 business days of the entrant's confirmation as the prize winner. Prize may be forfeited if delivery cannot be made after reasonable efforts on the part of the Contest Sponsor.
TERMS AND DISCLAIMERS
Before the prize is awarded, each winner may be required to sign a standard declaration of compliance with the Official Rules and one or more release forms releasing ACE MECHANIC SERVICES. Liability arising from the conduct of the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance and use of the prizes as awarded, the administration of the Contest, and the selection of a potential winner. By entering the Contest and/or accepting a prize, each entrant agrees to release and discharge the Released Parties from any and all liability and to waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, expenses, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of their participation in the Contest, or in connection with the possession or use of any prize (including, but not limited to, claims, costs, injuries, loss or damage related to personal injury, death, damage or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or misrepresentation, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under the theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty, or any other theory.
GENERAL
The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded without substitution. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the prize, or any portion thereof, with a prize(s) of equal or greater value for any reason. The decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final, and each entrant agrees to abide by all instructions and decisions of the Contest Sponsor. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these Official Rules, the decision or interpretation of the Contest Sponsor shall prevail. No communication will be made except with the selected entrants. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor. Any entry that is illegible, incomplete, altered or contains false information is invalid. The Contest Sponsor and the Released Parties are not responsible for any technical problems or failures of any Internet, telephone or broadcast communications during the Contest Period.
PRIVACY
The Contest Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Contest Sponsor to administer the Contest and fulfill the conditions for awarding prizes and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide entrants with information about upcoming promotions and/or events from the Contest Sponsor. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Released Parties are not responsible for any damages caused or suspected to be caused by: (i) any lost, stolen, delayed, garbled, delayed, damaged, or misdirected entries or prizes for any reason; (ii) any failure, interruption, technical failure or delay; (iii) any email, text or other communication sent or received by the Contest Sponsor or any of its agents or designees, for any reason; (iv) any incorrect, inappropriate or inaccurate information, by users or by equipment or programming errors; (v) any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of one or more entries in the Contest; for problems with the operation of a website or its functionality, regardless of the cause; (vi) malfunction or damage to any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, data, software, on-line systems, servers or service providers.
For residents of Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
